With reference to your letters (2) No. 3295/17

of the 5th. and 26th. March, both of which were passed by this

Chamber to the Association of Exporters and Dealers of Hong

Kong for consideration and advice, I have now the honour to

enclose for your information copy of the Association's reply

from which you will learn that stops that body is prepared to

take to assist the work of "The Imperial Trust for the Encourage-

ment of scientific and Industrial Research",

I am directed to request that you will be good

enough to extend to His Excellency the Governor the thanks of

my Committee for so courteously submitting the correspondence regarding this project for the consideration of this Chamber.
